Oliver Blum – Das Ebenbild – Cologne

9 July – 16 October, 2016

After the second solo show by Oliver Blum in autumn 2015, Hardhitta Gallery presents Blum’s latest exhibition Das Ebenbild on July 8. As a former student of Albert Oehlen, Blum focuses on abstract and figurative art. At the same time, the gallery opens at its new location on Bonner Straße 536 in Cologne. In Das Ebenbild Hardhitta Gallery displays the most comprehensive exhibition of Blum’s paintings with 15 works in the new 250m2 gallery space.

While Blum mainly stays true to his previous characteristic style, some of his new paintings are more graphical and show sharper structures. Guided by

his intuition and his artistic repertoire Blum creates paintings that not only leave room for interpretation, but pull the viewer into their spell.

His works are situated in numerous private collections and the Museum Kunst Palast in Dusseldorf.

Oliver Blum was born in 1978 in Dusseldorf. He lives and works in Cologne.
